Title: Ama-chan Finished: May 07, 2022 "Ama" is a Japanese traditional pearl diver. It is a long standing tradition in Japan which still exist until now although the outfit is different than decades ago. The practice of diving only wearing fundoshi has long gone, replaced by modern rubber wet suit. It is deeply regretted that the skinny-dipping practice of old has largely been lost, even though it will be very nice to see it again nowaday. Here is the portray of "ama" on Ise Bay in 1950s, where most "ama" are still wearing fundoshi during diving.
